The property is beautifully renovated in a typical Spanish style with built-in sofas, table and chairs. Situated next to a 13th century castle, with fantastic views of the lake and mountains. The accommodation consists of the following: one Bedroom with very large double bed. Lounge area with table and chairs and large sofa. Could sleep extra adult or older child. Travel cot available. Bathroom with toilet, sink and shower. The Kitchen is equipped with a fridge, toaster, kettle, hob/oven, washing machine, all cutlery plates etc. plus a hairdryer and an iron. We also have a walled Terrace for sunbathing and outdoor dining/BBQs etc. All linen and towels provided, bedding changed weekly on stays over one week. Please provide your own swimming towels. Included in rental price will be a 3/4 hour boat trip April to October - weather permitting or a free BBQ night on the terrace, also free welcome pack included. Gas and electricity included in the rental price. Prices are for the property per week in UK pounds. If an extra night is required to allow for flights etc - it will be an extra £30. This is not per person. Available all year except the Christmas period. Changeover day Flexible. Check availability. Horse riding can be arranged by appointment prior to arrival. Minimum stay is one week. Please vacate property by mid day. A deposit of 25% is payable at the time of booking. You can pay the balance on arrival in euros at current exchange rates on that day. For booking made 4 weeks or less prior to arrival date, amount is payable in full.
The village of Freila has all amenities such as bars, pharmacy, bank, shops and local market every Tuesday. The nearest Town is Baza 15km, with local market and shops, tapas bars, cave restaurants. In August there is a two day international music festival (free of charge) also many other fiestas during the year, in the local area all these activities are free! Close to the village is the large fresh water lake Negratin. Lots of activities take place here such as swimming, pedaloes, fishing, canoeing, windsurfing, walking, bird watching etc. The area is ideal for outdoor pursuits, even hang-gliding takes place nearby! There are several restaurants dotted around the lake, including one with its own thermal bath only costing 2 euros all day! There are many swimming pools in most villages open July - September entrance prices are cheap and for the whole day. A hire car is essential to get around and see more of this fabuolous area. Surrounded by national parks/sierras with picnic areas. Suitable for walking bird watching etc. The city of Granada is approx 1 hour away. This traditional Spanish city has many wonderful attractions. These include the famous Alhambra Palace, Science park, traditional Flamenco dance regions etc. Not forgetting for the Winter break the Sierra Nevada ski resort! The whole region is famous for its cave dwellings and historic past. Also in Almeria, is the famous 'Mini Hollywood' theme park and zoo. A great family day out where you can even dress up as your favourite western character! Many films were made here, such as 'The Good, the Bad and the Ugly' and many other spaghetti westerns. The nearest airport is Granada with flights from Liverpool and East Midlands. Also Almeria, Murcia, Malaga, Alicante airports are available. Approx 1 hour 30 minutes to nearest coastal resorts such as Mojacar, Almeria, Garrucha etc by car. Many of the coastal areas have golf courses.
